Yehudi Menuhin was a violinist and conductor who spent most of his performing career in Britain. He began his musical career at a young age, studying at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music, and went on to perform with numerous prominent orchestras, including the Berlin Philharmonic and the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra. Menuhin was also a dedicated educator and humanitarian, founding the Menuhin School in England and receiving numerous awards for his contributions to music and international understanding, including the Glenn Gould Prize and the Kennedy Center Honors. Throughout his life, Menuhin collaborated with many notable musicians, such as Jorge Bolet and Mstislav Rostropovich, and was known for his advocacy of yoga and meditation as tools for musicians.
